Travel Costs

For some participants, costs involved with round-trip travel between the participant’s home and the Roundtable venue will be paid by the organizers, in consultation with those participants.

Accommodation

Rooms have been block-booked in the Radisson University Hotel. The organizers will cover accommodation costs and taxes for up to three nights from 3rd-6th April. Please let us know if you will NOT need a room for the night of 5th April. An additional one night’s stay until 7th April will be covered for those participants staying on for the one-day HarvestChoice meeting on the Modeling and Evaluation of Biotic Constraints.

Internet Access
The hotel has complimentary high-speed Internet access and dual phone lines with dataport and voicemail in all rooms.

Booking
All participants must contact the hotel to make their own reservations. Please notify the reservation agent that you are associated with the Gates Conference organized by IFPRI/University of Minnesota. The room rate is $109 (single/double occupancy; $20.00 per night for each additional adult) before taxes. For some participants, these costs will be paid by the organizers. The registration process requires participants to provide the hotel with a credit card number, but this will only be used to charge any incidental expenses incurred during your stay.

Meals

Contracted food and beverage services will be provided throughout the conference. Note that a reception including light hors d’oeuvres and drinks will be held in the Radisson University Hotel from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on 3rd April.

Breakfast options: A light breakfast will be provided by the conference organizers on 4th and 5th April at the Campus Club. Alternative breakfast options, if desired, include an Applebee’s restaurant located on the lobby level of the hotel, a Starbucks adjacent to the hotel, and a bagel outlet and grocery store within 2 minutes walk.
