Cobus le Roux studied Plant Pathology at the Universities of Stellenbosch and KwaZulu-Natal. He practiced plant pathology with special interest in host-pathogen interactions of stem rust for 15 years. During this period he published 14 scientific, 25 popular publications and delivered 15 National and International Conference Papers. He traveled extensively (18) to various international institutions. For the past 17 years he manages ARC-Small Grain Institute who is operational in all production areas of South Africa focusing on crop development, production practices, soil management, wheat quality, bio/genetic control of diseases and pests and the enhancement of the emerging commercial sector.
