Participants are invited to join in discussion on the Roundtable2007 Forum.

The Roundtable2007 Forum is a Google Groups site where participants can post questions, comments and suggestions about the Roundtable, as well as upload files of background material to share with other participants.

Guidelines

We have created a Google Group workspace for Roundtable participants to post views, questions, and expectations about the Roundtable, and to upload relevant background material to share with other participants. We’ve called it the Rountable2007 Forum. To be able to use the forum you will need to have a Google account, or to register with Google. Once registered, since participation is by invitation, a message will be sent to Flavia or Stanley to approve your registration for the Roundtable2007 Forum.

To initiate the process you will need to access the HarvestChoice website www.harvestchoice.org and then follow the link on the HarvestChoice website to the Roundtable. On the left hand list of the Roundtable site is an entry (next to bottom) for “Forum”. If you select that option you will be given the option to join the Roundtable2007 Forum.

You will then be given the choice of entering your Google account id or registering for a Google account. Once that is done a request will automatically issued to Flavia and Stanley to approve your participation (which we will do!). Once authorized, you can return to the Roundtable2007 Forum at any time. There are currently 3 discussion topics and a file directory for uploaded files. The three existing discussion topics are:

Roundtable Goals and Outputs
Share your questions, thoughts and expectations about the Roundtable, its goals, outputs and potential impacts

Participant Postings
Post your views on topics to be discussed, identifying which session your comment best applies to. Here you can also describe the contents and relevance of files you’ve uploaded to the site.

Non-participant Postings
We have received requests to provide an opportunity for those not attending the workshop to present views or upload relevant materials, and to describe them in postings here.

Files
This is a single common area for any and all uploaded files, so it’s important to describe uploaded filenames and their contents (in the Participant or Non-participant posting list as appropriate), so that other participants will know what to look for.

Organization
If necessary we can add other pages and discussion topics. In fact you probably can do open a new discussion theme yourself if you’d like to. Enjoy!
